The Plant uses coal in pulverized combustion boiler to achieve high efficiency, stability, safety and requirements for environmental protection due to state-of-the-art equipment. Essentially the plant operates at base load during dry season and intermediate load in wet season.
After finishing the plant will be connected to national grid at 500kV voltage to contribute a part in power supply for the Southern region from 2018 and help to reduce grid dependency to hydropower, especially in dry seasons and dry years.
