COMPANY INTRODUCTION

Power Construction No. 2 Company Limited (PCC2) a state-owned company and a member of Vietnam Industrial Construction Corporation (VINAINCON) was established on June 3^rd 1978 with the name of Substation and Transmission Line Construction Company No. 2.

Up to 1993, it was renamed into Power Construction Company No.2 under the Decision No. 347/NL/TCCB dated June 19^th, 1993 of the former Ministry of Energy and now called as Ministry of Industry, with the business of constructing and rehabilitating the power network in Southern Vietnam.

Up to 2005, it was restructured into Power Construction No. 2 Company Limited (PCC2) under the Decision No.35/2005/QĐ-BCN date September 22^nd, 2005 of the Ministry of Industry, now called as Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Since its establishment, Power Construction No. 2 Company Limited has made every effort to fulfill its assigned duties and expanded its area of activities all over the country in handing civil and erection works for transmission lines, substations and underground cable of all voltage rates, producing various steel towers and centrifugal concrete poles as well as other building materials. Moreover, PCC2 also trains skilled workers for power construction, civil works, mechanical works to provide its branches and agencies with human resources.

ACTIVITIES & SERVICES

· Implementing construction works for power transmission lines and substation of all voltage rates: 500 KV, 220 KV, 110 KV, 35 KV, 15KV on the basis of “turnkey contract’;

· Construction works for power plant;

· Building industrial, civil works, infrastructures. Traffic system, irrigation, water supply and sanitation, air-port, port and water tanks; 

· Land leveling;

· Producing centrifugal concrete poles for transmission lines of 15KV, 22KV, 35KV 110KV and low voltage. Producing concrete sewage pipes with high pressure resistance (Diameter from 300 to 2000mm);

· Producing steel towers for transmission lines and substations of 110KV, 220KV and 500KV. Fabricating metal structures, steel towers for construction works;

· Producing building materials;

· Testing, adjusting electric equipment. Testing metal structures for high voltage towers, purifying oil of transformers up to 500KV

· Consulting investment (excepting consulting finance and account)

· Verifying quality of power transmission line and substation works of up to 110KV;

· Preparing and appraise investment projects, consulting project management for electricity and industrial projects;

· Training technical workers in power construction, civil works and mechanics;

· Doing business in transporting goods by truck;

· Sale agent for goods trade and bailment

· Leasing construction tools and equipment and warehouse;

· Business in houses, hotels;

· Investing constructing infrastructure of industrial zones
